Saigon Raiders originated in 1990 and was the first expat team to be formed in Vietnam. Originally Scandinavian, they now boast members from all over the world. Raiders is well known by our members as a club with a fantastic spirit that approaches amateur football in the right way, and as the motto “more than a club, a lifestyle” indicates, strives for just as much fun off the pitch as on it.

Through our Danish origins we occasionally attend the ‘Viking Cup’, a competition held around Asia once a year. In 2005 the VC was held in HCMC, 2006 in Shanghai, 2007 in Bali and in 2008 Hong Kong and Macau. More recently the team attended the 2013 VC in KL. Raiders have also been regular participants in the Easter German All Stars tournament (GAS) in Bangkok and the Manila Nomads tournament held every November in the Philippines, featuring 32 teams from across Asia. 2013 also saw a random tour to Phnom Penh and our fourth year at the Phu Quoc 7-a-side tournament.
